Music Nation is a music rights management organization that was created to license the rights of authors, publishers, sound recording owners and performers throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE). These rights are referred to as neighboring rights (for sound recordings), public performance rights (for musical compositions) and mechanical reproduction rights (also for musical compositions). 

Utilizing world-class partnerships and technology, we are the leading concern supporting the implementation of the UAE’s vision for the protection and enforcement of musical copyrights, and have partnered with US-based Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), the largest performing rights organization in the world, to develop a world-class music licensing and royalty distribution infrastructure in the UAE.  Together, Music Nation and BMI will help ensure that music creators and publishers, both local and international, will be compensated for the use of their work.

We have a deep passion for music and understand its value and importance in culture, business and life, and are excited to work with the creative community and showcase the UAE’s talents to the world. 

Music Nation is led by Chairwoman Rasha Khalifa Al Mubarak, a qualified human rights advocate,, patron of the UAE arts scene and passionate supporter of the region’s creative industry, and her executive leadership team, who provide over 70 years of collective experience in global music and UAE business operations.
